Effect:
You display some coins of different value on the table. Ask your volunteer to hold one of them in front of his/her forehead while you turn away, then ask them to place it back on the table, in the normal position. You turn back, touch the coins one by one and correctly name which coin they held a moment ago.
Steps:
1. Display 3-10 different coins.
2. Turn away from your spectator.
3. Ask him/her to hold one of the coin in front of his/her forehead.
4. Talk to your spectator, tell them that you can't really know which coin they hold.
5. Ask him/her to place the coin back on the table, at the normal position.
6. Turn back, touch the coins one by one. You will feel one of the coins is warmer than the others, that's the spectator's selection. It is because that coin was held by the volunteer for a few seconds a moment ago, the heat energy in his/her hand "warm up" the coin.
Tip:
Show this trick in a cold place.

Good trick. Good for mentalists and coin magicians alike.

Nice, easy. You need to be fast so that the heat doesn't dissipate. I tried it with a dime and penny without holding them first and the dime felt colder than the penny.

very nice and simple althought there is heaps of other variatiaons with the heat and the coin such as holding it in your palm and having the "warm touch" but otherwise a great trick

despite what some people say, this is one of the best mental magic coin tricks.
But DO NOT use your hands to feel the heat, thats very hard, you pretend to smell the coin but really touch to the skin under your nose (is the most sensitive to heat).

Nice trick, i have done this before a couple of times, well im just going to give it a rating it deserves (unlike the person that side put the coins in a hat or something). This is the basic trick, if u want to put it in a hat, do that urself, if u want to make it better, sure why not? but this will be the basis of it
