Effect:
The magician holds an empty  matchbox in his hands and puts one match in it.Then, he closes the matchbox and immediately opens it and shows it to the audience.The match has vanished!


SECRET:
This item requires a very simple gimmick.First get yourself a matchbox and not a bookmatch . Bring out the drawer. Then on the drawer, you will see 4 flaps on the sides- 2 big ones and two small ones. Your only gimmick is to cut one small flap off with a pair of scissors. SO, now you have a matchbox with only three flaps.You are ready. Push the drawer back into the case with the cut side facing you. then, open it from the opposite side and show it to be empty. Then, put one match in it . As soon as you do that, close the drawer and slide the match towards you , palmed by your hand(thats what the cut flap was for) then, open the drawer and show it empty.

WARNING:- Dont show the audience the cut flap and dont pull the drawer out completely or else, they may see a cut flap.
