Effect: The magician asks the spectator to choose any card from the card fan and sign it. Then the spectator flips the deck and the selected card falls on the spectators hand!
Picking out a selected card
Things you'll need: A deck of cards. Max no of cards is 15 and minimum is 10. For magicians who have a very good observation and counting can even use about 30 cards. But I prefer 10 to practice.
Method: First display a fan of 10 cards upside down to the spectator to choose a card(the card can even be signed).
Then tell the spectator to put back the card into the fan. This is where you start to count. You look at the fan and count how many cards from the beggining has the spectator put the card in. For example, you have 10 card and the card has been put third last in the fan so remember that the number is 7. This is how you remember the number. Then close the fan but nver shuffle.(although you can act as your about to shuffle the cards).
Afterwards, use misdirection or tell the spectator that now you are going to pick out his card blah blah blah. Just take the spectators eyes away from your hands. Then very quickly. count the cards the slide the card to the top.
Now you have done what you had to do!
Just flip the first card on the spectators hand and viola1its the card!!!
You can even say magic words and command the card to come to the front after putting the card on top.In short, many special effects can be added to this simple trick. It needs a little practice.
