How to Fake Shuffle a Deck of Cards
Most card tricks can be made MUCH better with a few good false shuffles thrown into the mix.
Here are some tips on trick shuffles that have served me well over the years.
First, I'd like to teach you a very simple card control using the Overhand Shuffle.

Now let's move on to another trick shuffle/card control known as the riffle control:
Lastly, I'd like to teach you a basic false cut. This is SO simple, yet devilishly deceptive. Don't let it's simplicity fool you, this fake cut really convinces people.
Some magicians have VERY fancy fake cuts. Personally, I feel that most fancy fake cuts LOOK like a fake cut. If it looks fake, then you've defeated the purpose.
This fake cut looks so natural, that people don't question it. In fact, I've NEVER had anyone catch this one. Check it out:

Ok... there seems to be a little confusion, He isnt explaining a TRICK, he is simply explaining some trick shuffles, a way to "make up your own trick" sure the trick shuffles could be an important part in a trick, but he is just explaining how to confuse your audience

First, all the negative comments are people who aren't willing to go the mile. Second, I've been looking around Tim's site for the last few days and I've learned an incredible amount. Thank you Tim. These sleights have really helped to improve my card magic an incredible amount.

Great tricks Tim. So simple and yet so elegant. And I do agree with you... if you do a fancy cut you would suspect something wouldn't you... the false cut is great^___^.
