Bik-Stik-Trik
Secret: You use pens which have caps which have that long 'clip' (the clip used so it won't fall off your breast pocket.)
Before you give them to the audience member, make sure the 'clip' is pointing directly towards the words on the pen itself. So after he/she uses the pen, there is an extremely high possibility he/she won't recap the pen the same way you left it.
Then, you make any excuse you are comfortable with so you can have a brief examine of each colour pen. The pen he/she used won't have it's 'clip' pointing towards the words on the pen.
NOTE FROM THE MAGIC TEACHER: This is a great variation of the trick from the movie "The Illusionist". See also the Mental Coin Routine on this site.

I don't get why this trick is good. It seems like you are too amazed with seeing that the clip is not pointed toward the words on the pen. You very porrly explained it and I have no clue what you are getting at.

Love it, everyone i do it to doesn't have a clue. Its even better if you try it with about 4 or 5 IDENTICAL pens!

Ok Crucifier here is is. If all the shirt clips ( part the clips to like a breast pocket) is pointed to the word on the pen (cause big biz love pen ads) AND its a cap then when they write it they have to uncap the pen. Putting it back on, unless they got OCD like me (but not so much that it would ruin the trick) chances are its not lined up. And even if it is if you got an exact alignment on all the pens and one of them is half way there then TA DA! you found it. Its not poorly explained at all. And try it. I didnt and I see it is amazing. To the Author: Great Job.

I've read all the the posts and the explanation but I'm still not understanding the trick. It could just be because I'm a visual person. It's be a little clearer if you listed it as:
How it looks, Set up (if any), and Method/Secret of how it is done.
